The sound of clay

A special day was dedicated to “family tourism” on occasion of International Tourism Day 2004. Visitors were not only able to work with clay but also take part in a musical installation.

The Museum organised special visits for students at the University of the Basque Country’s Faculty of History and Archaeology.

Brotherhood collections

Brotherhoods, or cofradías, were the first social organisations. Townspeople and villagers became associated, establishing social rules and providing aid for the needy, and this was usually connected to a hermitage. They are documented since the 16 th century.

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the opening of the Museum and following the recent death of the master potter of Ollerías, we would like to pay tribute to his memory and remember his work with this exhibition.


The shop sells articles made with as much care today as they were years ago.


One of the most attractive activities associated to the Ollerías Museum is the visit to the pottery, where one can watch potters at work.


The guided visit to the Museum includes: the permanent collection, the monographic exhibition, a visit to the old kiln and the workshops.
