Construction and building

In the summer months, pottery shops were surrounded by brick makers in the summer months. Groups of brick makers would come from Asturias and set up close to the Basque potters, obtaining clay from their land and making roof tiles and bricks by hand for construction purposes. This process was eventually automated and became the basis for important industrial development. Potters also made piping and the accessories required for firing pottery in the kiln, such as clay pellets and cooking stands.
